Small Living Room Makeovers

So there are certain times of year I tend to get into nesting mode, and I know a lot of you feel the same way. It’s almost like we know that change is coming in the seasons, which means change indoors as well…so better make it nice, right? These small living room makeovers by some very talented bloggers show us that small spaces just give us the opportunity to focus on creativity. In other words, we should make sure our stamp shows up in our decor, and that we give attention to the small things that make a small space seem important… Notice I said important, and not necessarily “big”. It isn’t always about the size of the meal. Sometimes it’s just about the flavor. Note: We only included one after photo with each makeover, so make sure you click through and check out all the pics… All the angles, vignettes, and before and after photos are inspiring!

This DIY industrial blend living room makeover sighted on ‘Yellow Bliss Road’ was right on the mark… The entry might spill right into the living room, the space might not be huge, but she leaves her mark on everything in that room, and it shows! I especially love the up cycled door in the corner, and the vintage touches.

I live in a small apartment, the carpet is grey what color would be best to paint the walls to make it look bigger.

I would stay with a pale grey… it will expand space, but tie in the carpet so the eye roams the whole room easily…

Hello what color gray did you use when you changed from brown or tan to gray? I have a very small house and I usually lean toward beige/ tan. I’ve been struggling between going with my usual or changing to a subtle gray. I like Sherwin Williams Revere Pewter but I’m not sure if that would be too dark. Any suggestions?

Hi Kari! We went with Benjamin Moore Grey Owl, but wish we had gone a little darker… I think Revere Pewter is a great color, and it does have a little more of the “Greige” feel, meaning a touch of grey and a touch of beige… Might be perfect for you!
