With school , and holidays and day to day family mayhem, (I say that with love) keeping everyone on track can be tough. These DIY family command center projects will make sure your home runs smoothly, from the last backpack out the door in the morning, to the PTA meeting that night. Oh, and they look cute too!
DIY Family Command Center Ideas
Our feature project is a DIY family command center by ‘The Caldwell Project‘… Ok, I need this! I especially love the magnetic / dry erase option, and more than that… I love that she added the little plants. Makes it pretty, not just functional!
‘The Willows‘ created a chalkboard wall for a craft room, then hung metal organizers over that… Perfect!
From Bri at ‘Emerson Grey Designs‘, this family command center message board makes keeping track of school work easy! She tells you where she got everything to put this project together as well.
From Megan at ‘The Homes I have Made‘, this DIY family command center is fun, bright and makes you happy just looking at it! Look closer though… I adore her sticky note board! Brilliant!
This family command center from ‘BHG‘ is super easy… Just take a large frame and remove the glass, paint the back side the color of your choice. Allow to dry, then replace the glass (painted side down, non painted side up), then use dry erase markers. Easy, and you could find a frame that size less expensively at a thrift store.
‘Simply Kierste‘ made this DIY message board, and it has so many cute cubbies for storage, and amazing little details like her magnetic numbers. Great tutorial!
Lastly, from ‘Post Road Vintage‘ this salvaged window was fitted with an old barn board shelf with “L” brackets, and she added chalkboard paint to make it a cottage style organization station… Love!
