Inspired by some of your favorite designer furniture stores like: Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, CB2, West Elm and Anthropologie! Furniture is expensive folks. Like, really expensive. And most of us dream of something a little nicer than discount store particle board, don’t we? The big furniture chains make nicer pieces more accessible now than they have ever been, but they can still take a pretty nasty bite out of the checkbook. Lucky for us, there are some really talented bloggers out there. And even more lucky, those very same bloggers share their step by step tutorials for DIY’ing just about anything. Including expensive furniture. So get ready to make your home look amazing for a fraction of the price tag! These DIY furniture knockoffs look just like some of the most popular pieces out there, but they aren’t! Which means, you won’t pay those not so popular prices, right?
DIY Furniture Knock Offs
West Elm Knock off Furniture
Knockoff West Elm Emmerson Dining Table
Our first project below is from Cara at ‘Build It, Craft It, Love it’. We love how she aced the distressed wood finish of the table top. We fell in love with this very same table at West Elm, and she nailed this! West Elm has a very similar outdoor dining table as well. You can check out our list for Best Outdoor Furniture Brands & Stores over at TGG.
Pottery Barn Knock Off Furniture
From Chelsea at ‘Making Home Base’, this Pottery Barn Knock Off nightstand project was from another bloggers plans (she includes the link for you) and has a bleached, colored stain finish perfect for a cottage look.
Restoration Hardware Furniture Knock Offs
Jeanette at ‘Snazzy Little Things’ did this Restoration Hardware coffee table knock off with free plans for you, and her inspiration was one of the more pricey stores. Great step by step drawings will take you through this tutorial.
Anthropologie Knock Off Furniture
From ‘Blitsy’, this Anthropologie knock off mirror is an easy project that doesn’t require any major tools. And if you check out her photos at the bottom of her post, you will see it looks exactly like her inspiration piece!
Anthropologie Knock Off
From Kati at ‘Houseful of Handmade’, this is another Anthropologie knock off mirror, but the amazing part of this DIY is that she did it for under $10!
West Elm Knock Off Furniture
From ‘East Coast Creative’, the tiles on this West Elm knock off dresser are made of wood, which makes the project so much easier than working with ceramic or porcelain tile.
Restoration Hardware Knock Off
From Ashley at ‘Cherished Bliss’ comes this RH knock off rolling shelf tutorial that not only shows you exactly how to make this, but how to nail the farmhouse finish as well.
West Elm Knock Off
From Katie and Eric at ‘Mountain Modern Life’, this is another dining table knock off that will save you big bucks to make yourself. I like this look because it would look equally at home with either a farmhouse style chair, or all modern.
Restoration Hardware Knock Off
Industrial Chic Concrete and Pipe Shelving
Ashley from ‘Simply Designing’ via ‘Home Depot’ created this really detailed tutorial for her take on these industrial shelves. Lots and lots of photos take you through this project.
CB2 Knock Off
Mid Century Modern Bed and Headboard
From Ashley at ‘Bigger Than the Three of Us’, this DIY CB2 knock off bed was inspired by a version that cost almost $900, and theirs cost only $175!
Restoration Hardware Knock Off
Finally, from one of our favorite woodworkers, ‘Ana White’, this Restoration Hardware dining table knock off is made almost entirely of 2×4’s. Easy!
