Trending DIY Mirror Projects!

Want a top decorating tip for small homes? Use mirrors to create the look of a larger, brighter room. We’ve all heard that one, right? Mirrors reflect light, making the room look visually larger. But placed strategically, they can also reflect another adjoining room, doubling the visual size of the room the mirror is located in. They can double the look of a houseplant, making it look full and lush, or a group of candles giving twice the sparkle and glimmer to an evening room. And there are a lot of ways to add true style with DIY mirror projects that look anything but ordinary! Here are ten of our favorite DIY mirror projects with step by step tutorials to get you started.

Trending DIY Mirror Projects: Reflect a Larger Space!

This tutorial from ‘Centsational Girl‘ of her DIY mosaic tile mirror is easy, and gorge! I wonder…could you do this same project on an existing builders bathroom mirror? Attach the tiles with construction adhesive, allow to dry, then grout?

From ‘A Beautiful Mess‘, this gem DIY mirror  would work well in an entry space to add a little glitz! Easy project with a little contact paper and some gold spray paint. They actually teach you how to cut the mirror into this geometric shape, but you could do the same treatment on a standard shape mirror as well.

Tricia and Jason from ‘Simplicity in the South‘ creatively did a DIY knock-off Restoration Hardware Bristol Flat mirror for around $54. You just might want to check out this tutorial as the original inspiration piece from RH was $562. And that’s only if you are part of their membership program!

Lovin’ the knock-offs? Then try this West Elm knock-off from ‘Amanda Katherine‘. This DIY rustic frame wood mirror would retail there for $500, and they made it for $45. Plus, it looks awesome. The reclaimed wood is perfect.

From ‘Passionshake‘, this DIY design accent mirror is a really simple project, but adds so much to the look of this piece! This has literally 3 steps. Done!

Jamie from ‘Southern Revivals‘ had the perfect idea for her nautical themed bathroom… This DIY rope mirror! Her tutorial is great, and if you look closely at the mirror, she added detail that makes this mirror look amazing. I love this so much, I may make one as a gift!

Love French design? Then learn how to build a Trumeau mirror from Rachel at ‘Maison de Pax‘. The lovely details and antiquing of this piece make it perfect to add a little romantic touch to your rooms. Love!

This may be one of my favs of this post… Jump on over to ‘Remodelaholic‘ and learn how to make a modern sunrise floating mirror and shelf. It really does remind you of a sunrise! And who wouldn’t want that each morning? 🙂

One of our favorite DIY mirror projects is this one. Do you think this DIY sunburst mirror is chic and stylish? Us too! Lindi at ‘Love, Create, Celebrate‘ made this from coat hangers. Yep. Seriously creative.

This DIY copper mirror from ‘Twinspiration‘ is exactly what I need for my makeup vanity. I’ve been looking for something pretty, and a little taller, and this is perfect! And a super easy project. BRB, off to get the 3 simple supplies that you need for this project!

Love the copper craze?  Try this DIY easy geometric copper and wood mirror from ‘A Beautiful Mess‘. This project requires nothing more than the ability to glue!
