With all the easy DIY projects floating around the blogosphere, it can be tough to find and follow the new trends and tutorials. The DIY world changes fast, as does the design world. We went out and tried to find some of the best, newest and coolest DIY home decor projects out there, and we found some trends worth noting. Scandinavian, Mid Century and Modern design continues to gain popularity and to be brought into an eclectic design style in many different homes. Gold, metallics and glam are still having a moment, which we think may turn into an hour… or two. (Basically, they are sticking around for awhile!)  And geometrics are ruling the stage because of how clean they look, yet really hold your interest. Then we caught sight of these DIY triangle shelves at ‘I Spy DIY’ and fell in love with them. Not only do they rock, can you see this girls’ styling talent? Her DIY room decor is so cool, I want to copy that room! No tutorial but you could use the same techniques from the project above.

From Cindy at ‘Cinsarah’, this DIY house numbers sign has a modern flair, but is rustic enough to go with almost any home style. Easy to follow tutorial for this DIY home decor idea!

If your home decor is missing something and you want to add a little touch of glam, we love this DIY furry wood stool with gold legs! Another easy DIY project with a touch of Mid Century flavor, but with modern twist. From ‘A Beautiful Mess‘. Fast project with a staple gun and some spray paint.

Add some luxe with this DIY marble table lamp from ‘The Every Girl’. You will need a drill and a masonry bit for this, but this is a very doable DIY home decor project with a very high end looking result!

Ok, so another from this talented girl, ‘Brittany Makes’. Her style is bright and fresh, and this faux zebra rug DIY is easy, and clever, and when it’s finished, looks so glam. Notice how she uses these glam touches in a room that is not cluttered or brightly colored. She knows when to stop using a good thing to make it really work. Trying to figure out where I could put this rug!

One of the top design trends on Pinterest in 2016 is geometric tile. Can’t afford to re-tile? No problem, ‘Little Green Notebook’ has your back. This DIY geometric cube painted floor is even outdoors! This proves it… anywhere can be made amazing with a little courage and some DIY home decor.

    Hey! I was just passing by your website and noticed that you could improve this site by just a teeny bit. It would’ve been easier for people just browsing your blog to find the different ideas you have by numbering them. For example, a title could be, “15 Extra Storage Spaces for Your Kitchen”, and then bold each subtitle like this, “1. Pull-Out Narrow Racks behind the Fridge”. It would be a small addition but a major improvement! Thanks for listening!
