We all need a place to set our mugs of cocoa or our icy glasses of lemonade when sitting around our living spaces, and side tables are a great bet for using up as little floor space as possible. If you have shopped for side tables recently, you may have noticed that they aren’t a lot less expensive than a large coffee table, despite being less than half the size! Our solution? Stunning DIY side table projects you can make, and always have a spot for that summer novel, or that winter plate of hot scones!

This Ikea Lack hack by ‘Simply LKJ‘ is simply simple! Easy project, and inexpensive. This looks really luxe for an Ikea price!
Another one for you, this Ikea hack side table by ‘Sugar and Cloth‘ uses one of the Expedit shelving cubes and cheap legs from Ace Hardware.
We love ‘Ana White’ ’cause she teaches us all that we can build almost anything! She shares with us these DIY nesting tables that were done by Brooke from ‘Being Brooke‘. Ok, these are perfect for a small home. Three times the table for just a little bit of floor space!
Ok, so I admit it. This one is my fav. I may just have to make one of these. I’m a sucker for mixing rustic and modern, and this hairpin leg table does just that. And could this get simpler? Thanks to Bonnie from ‘Going Home to Roost‘ for this tutorial!
Our next project is a copper pipe and wood slice DIY side table that is Ah-mazing! From ‘Fall for DIY‘, don’t let the pipe scare you. A beginner can do this project with her great tutorial, and you don’t need any crazy tools. Love!
So Emily Henderson is one of my favorite HGTV design stars… She has such an eclectic style! She shared this tutorial for her DIY tree slab side table. Love the bright color on the legs, though they do come in different colors.
Another great one from ‘Sugar and Cloth‘, this mid century DIY side table not only offers a sly little bit of storage, looks really cool AND is pretty easy to make… it all comes together with a cake pan! Yep. No lie. Read this tutorial, it’s great!
‘Home Depot‘ hits the mark with this side table with copper pipe base… and no, you don’t have to do any welding or anything crazy like that. This one may take a little more time than some of the simpler ones, but worth it!
Lindsay at ‘Frenchie Wraps‘ made this DIY side table from a Target wire bin and a wood round panel… So easy!
Lastly we have a step ladder side table from ‘Neely’s Knits‘. Super simple, but love the vintage style!
