We are always looking for ways to add storage, organize our homes and reduce clutter. Let’s face it, piles of magazines are a top offender of clutter collecting in our homes! Rather than just pile them on the coffee table, how about make one of these creative DIY magazine racks to keep them stowed away neatly, yet easily accessible for that quick read. As a bonus, many of them have style quotient and add to the design elements in the room!
Our feature project, above and below, is from ‘Still Inspiration‘. These are an Ikea Grundtal kitchen rail (you know, the kind they hang the little buckets on for kitchen organizing?) and on the photo below, they added the Ikea Ribba picture ledge… genius!
‘Our Fifth House’ made this DIY magazine rack from some metal mesh found at the home improvement store… Easy project, good step by step photos…
‘Four Generations, One Roof’ built this wall mounted magazine rack, perfect for bathrooms! Great tutorial, made for 1×2 inexpensive pine.
‘Beyond the Picket Fence’ has a tutorial for this rolling magazine rack, that she finished to look old and repurposed, which I love. Love the industrial wheels too! Check out some of her kitchen island projects while you are there, so cool!
From ‘Posies and Plume’ this magazine rack repurposed from an old ladder is pretty self explanatory, requiring no tools at all! 🙂
Let’s continue with the no work projects… this old shutter idea from Pinterest is terrifically charming!
Repurposed pants hanger!
Going for that modern, industrial, loft look? Regular hangers work too!
This pallet shelf rack from Opensky is a product you can actually buy, unless you happen to be a pretty talented DIY’er! Its a great idea!
‘Inspired Whims’ use inexpensive 1×3 wood and speaker wire to make this DIY magazine rack.
Finally, ‘A Beautiful Mess’ has a similar project for this magazine rack, using electrical cord instead of stereo wire. I love how complete their tutorial is.
